Faith Over Fear
Fear is a funny thing. We teach our kids to have a healthy fear of dangerous areas, like a busy street or the deep end of the pool. The Bible teaches us to fear the Lord. But there is a fear that can cause sin and the Bible warns against this. This type of fear looks inward and turns our trust away from God. This fear can cause stomach pains and sleepless nights. Fear has overcome the world, and it is creeping into our hearts. There is fear of sickness, fear of the government, fear of judgment from friends, just to name a few. So what is the answer? Faith in a great and powerful God. Christ has overcome fear and gives us hope. Our God is sovereign and wants the best for us. Faith in this God will drive out fear!
